This mural brings together several iconic symbols of Chinese culture. The Great Wall, one of the world’s most famous and remarkable structures, is one of its central elements. The goldfish, symbols of abundance and prosperity, are arranged in the shape of an 8, a lucky number traditionally associated with good fortune and success. The lotus flower represents purity, while the flowering plum trees, one of the most emblematic plants in China, symbolise hope and the possibilities that lie ahead.
