Having lived in a major city for many years, I have always been fascinated by urban landscapes, both for their architecture and for their sometimes dark atmosphere and labyrinthine urban design.

Although this theme is overshadowed by my work on animals, my memories of London, a city very dear to my heart, resurface from time to time and lead me to explore the many possibilities offered by acrylic painting, using my own photographs as a starting point.

Through these urban scenes, real or imagined, I seek to bring back memories, sensations and emotions, while conveying a particular atmosphere. Colour, contrasts and texture become tools through which I reinterpret reality and give these landscapes a new dimension, one that is sometimes more mysterious and intimate.
